2013 Spring Fair

Yum! Smell the aroma wafting in the air?

The harvesting season was kicked off with the first Annual Spring Fair sponsored by Boone Street Farm, Cecil Elementary School Garden Club and Greater Greenmount Community Association. On Wednesday May 29th from 3-6 PM in the 2100 block of Boone Street, residents enjoyed grilled food including that grown on the farm and herbal lemonade – the mint was grown on the farm but not the lemons.

There was face painting for the children, and the adults, information booths from Department of Public Works, People’s Community Health Centers, Charm City Clinic, a flea market table, and a trash can and recycling bin (almost) giveaway. Neighbors could get a large trash can on wheels and a recycling bin for a total of $5.00. We are looking forward to a cleaner, greener neighborhood.

Come enjoy herbal lemonades, music, food, farm tours, and other fun to kick off the harvesting season and check out what’s growing at the farm.
